Maddy Chavez LAc, LMT, MAcOM

I grew up in Ashland, Oregon, where modalities like acupuncture and herbal medicine were an essential part of healthcare. I have somehow always known I wanted to be an acupuncturist. I picked up a copy of the Tao Te Ching when I was in middle school and the rest was history. My love affair with herbs started when I was young as well. My dad has the greenest thumb of anyone I have ever met, and gardening with my mom defined my summers growing up.

I am a natural caretaker and can't think of anything I'd rather do with my life than help treat people with this powerful medicine. While I LOVE my job, I believe in leading a balanced and full life - something I wish upon all of my patients. When I am not working you can find me caring for my ever-overzealous garden, cooking and tinkering with herbs, rock climbing, snowboarding or kayaking our beautiful rivers.

My Philosophy

I created Wild Mountain Medicine to help our community thrive, one patient at a time. I have been lucky enough to pursue my dream of learning Chinese Medicine and bodywork. Let me use that education to arm you with the tools you need to succeed in life. I believe that healthcare is a collaboration. Your body tells you what it needs, and it's my job to help you learn to listen. I don't believe that your work ends at my acupuncture table, and I ask that each of my patients be an active participant in their health. I want to empower you to take charge of your health. Each and every time you step into my office, I encourage you to advocate for what you need to reach your health goals. Let's have some conversations, create community, and help you rediscover the health you deserve.

Health care is a human right. If you need care but cannot afford my services, please don't hesitate to reach out. Everyone deserves to be healthy. Everyone deserves to be happy.
